According to the PPAI, nearly half of corporate America gives
business gifts to employees, customers, clients and suppliers. The top five
reasons for giving these types of gifts was researched by Baylor University:

The Baylor survey also revealed that 68 percent of those giving business gifts found that they were very effective in achieving desired objectives and approximately 60 percent were bought through distributors.
